looking to put hauck silencer on my 2014 apex se when i get it. anyone have this on theirs, how loud is it. not looking to get pulled over just want it to sound better

Why do you want it to be louder? There are no performance gains from these exhaust systems. If u want a little louder u can do as others and i have and open up the muffler and drill it out. Much cheaper.

also heard a silencer will lean out the sled and going to need a programmer, is this true?

Just do it ! life is short ., i love mine ,maybe 10lbs lighter than stock but you wont notice it.stock mufflers cut or drilled out ,sound unrefined IMO! if you like to make noise ,you will like ! if its to loud, your to old haha :sled1:

No not in MY application.if you do get one,go with the trail version.
ok thanks

went with hauck and sounds awesome not really load until u crack the throttle, let ya guys know if its legal or not soon. got a man from dec that lives close by soon as I get more snow im going to have him listen to it

Cool ! they do sound nice . i just purchased a digital decibel meter and im going to see exactly how loud mine is from 50ft at 3500rpm.going to pull the belt.all the snow is about gone, more coming this week so it can be outside not in garage with sound bouncing around .there is a guy on YouTube that has it on his 2011 apex going down the trail. :4STroke:

No real performance gains for the $$$$$$

Ok i had to pull it out and check. Fully warmed up out in the open yard with nothing close at 3500rpm from 50ft away straight back behind sled with my custom turnouts i got a reading of 80.5 Decibels with it on the ground pointing up.at waist level i got 79.5.i am sure without turnouts Hauck silencer or any aftermarket straight back it would be up decibels some.just some info for everyone :yam:

have any of you seen a performance loss from stock with the silencer, I know there isn't no gain but is there a loss like the two strokes.

Back pressure is the only loss you will have ! i have full exhaust to just slip-ons on everything .if you lose power why do so many companies to race shops put on exhaust ?? to make noise ? i dont think so. everything i own makes power from adding some sort of exhaust system, ;)!
