rockrider-u might have gotten one of the first pipes that he made for the vector-i bought mine mid-season of the 04-05 snow year

Boy, I don't know. I bought mine last spring in '06. The box was arrived pretty worked so the larger clamp could have dropped out?

did u get the stock clamp to work? i would think u might have an exhaust leak at the clamp if its not fitting right-maybe thats why u think its so loud.

No, I'm pretty confident it didn't leak because it would have most likely backfired when I let off the thottle. I seem to remember having to drill out the bolt hole on the stock clamp in order to get the bolt to angle over far enough to engage the threads.

Now that I know there is a different clamp, I think I'll contact Hauck and request one. I still need to pull my rear skid and JB weld around my zerks because of the pain in the #*$&@ grease leaks. I have few complaints about my Vector but the zerks seem unexcusable. My old '90 500 Indy didn't have that problem, WTF happened at the factory? Sachi Saturday?
