Wow, that's weird, but good to know. I hadn't heard of any problems with the dynamic stopper springs before, so it sounds like their supplier really must have had a bad batch come through. Their spring supplier is the same as BRP's, so problems like this are surprising. I'm sure it was just a one-time deal.

Their install instructions are garbage. They absolutely do NOT account for the fact that a longer skid will lift up higher at the rear. I had to put the rear mounts 1/2" lower than their instructions, and in addition, I had to modify my rear heat exchanger to lift it up by about an inch.
Well, testing proved otherwise on the rod, but perhaps there were other factors (such as torsion/twist) where the tie rods/pivots helped out a little more.
I will not argue about the instructions. I agree that they should be updated and much more broad. Boivin needs to invest some more money and do some more 144"-151"-156" installs themselves to know what is best to recommend. You see, that's their weakness - they do not live near the mountains or even any major amount of deep snow - so most everybody runs on a 121" or maximum 136" sled. If they had more actual LT/mountain installs under their belts themselves, they would be much better informed. Too bad. I hope your 144" install will be OK. Do you have any pictures of the finished product? Send me a link if you do.
