Extend Apex Tunnel / Snow Flap

Has anyone extended the tunnel on an Apex using Attack/Apex LTX parts.
I would like the snow flap to be further away from the track, similar to the 136 in track. I am not extending the track. My issue is every time I back up the snow flap is grabbed by the track, shredded when moving forward.
If anyone has successfully modified an Apex, please reply with parts and pictures.
Hopefully this improves the tail light snow issue as well.

I'm also interrested, me it's for carrying extra gas can so I can make the distance...

My mechanic completely redid an Apex and made it into a long track. I am going over there in the next week or two and will take a few pics and post later for you. If you want some information let me know and I will see if I can hook you up with him. FYI, for what he told me, it was very expensive.
