Just put on an extra extra wide, extra extra tall windshield on my 2010 RS Venture and I am missing the hardware to fasten it on each side to the hood. Does any one know what kind of fasteners go on there. Part no's would be nice, or just an idea of what to use.

Look up the parts on the yamaha website: www.yamaha-motor.ca.
You probably need the rubber expanding nuts and plastic screw like my Vector.

I found some plastic clips from the autobody shop that are sort of like rivets with a plastic pin you push in to expand the back side. I think they will work fine.

I used 3M two sided tape. Has held itself exactly where I put it for 3 winters now. No holes drilled in the hood.

Didn;t think of the tape. I tried to load pictures but it says the file is too big. What am I doing wrong?

Don't bother with the cheap tape, been there done that, it doesn't hold. If you want to remove the windshield at some point, I used an 'OLFA" knife, not damaging the sled.

I used the auto body clips. Drilled holes in the hood. They seem to be very secure.

Now you have holes in the hood. My way, when you sell, put the original windshield back on, no holes in the hood, and sell everything separately.

Good idea but I can't afford to sell it now. The extra parts are going on pay it forward. Already have a taker on the windshield. the only thing I would trade up to is ps.

I just got a 2012 Venture Gt with EPS at the end of last winter. Hope it works good.
