I changed the oil on my Attak and when dumping the oil and I found a extra washer. At first thought, it must be from the bottom of the engine plug? But the brass washer does not fit?
Its to small for the side oil tank too?
The picture on the top is the oil bolt with a washer that is attached to the bolt.
The washer only pic is the washer I found?
Any ideas what it is from?

You could try a Viton washer, available at most hardware stores? It should be white in color, and look like a hard plastic.
Even a harder rubber washer would work well also, it's not like it needs to be cranked in there very tight..
try cleaning the bolt real well, as well as that washer, but with brass, often times when it's compressed more than a couple times, it's going to have tiny imperfections in it that can't be helped.

The drain plug should have a brass washer on it.....
Could it maybe have fallen to the bottom of the sled on a prior occasion and you just stumbled across it? That happened to me with 2 odd looking bolts this past summer, lol!

Not sure about the extra washer? I think I used it on the side to hold the light pod on because it was missing a washer?

I think he means did you buy yamaha's oil change kit. Where it comes with oil filter and I believe a new washer for the engine drain bolt?

My guess as well.
Can you tell if it has ever been used, IE: some squish marks?

In order to change the oil on the apex, you need to drain the dry sump tank first, and this is what the washer looks like to me. The drain bolt for that is much smaller than the engine case drain bolt, it should be 12mm.
So if you didnt check, might be a good idea...

Thanks, I checked the drain plug on the engine above the plastic cover and its has the brass washer on it that does not come off. The oil tank has a cap head bolt that has a plastic washer on it.
This washer has scrap marks on one side only. I think I had it on the light pod bolt?
Can someone check the bottom of there Apex or Attak to see if it looks like mine pictured above? Thanks guys.
