Dear Group-
First post here. Admittedly I've always been an Arctic Cat guy. I'm a little bit more mature now and realize all the manufacturers put out some pretty good stuff. Went to the dealer today an looked at everything (AC, Ski-Doo, Polaris, and Yamaha). I thought I was set on a xf 1100 turbo sno-pro, but I actually liked the feel of the Apex XTX better. They had a leftover 2014 that I tried to make a decent deal on.
Does anyone have any firsthand, or a reasonable guess on what I should be looking at OTD everything in? Sales tax is 5.5% if that's useful in figuring out your guess. I'm not looking to stick it to the dealer and this one has a good reputation in the service department, but I also don't want to get taken for more than what's reasonable.
I didn't find another thread looking at this specific question. If you know of one I'm happy to read that instead.
Thanks,
JP

well here in northern ontario, the apex xtx's are showing at $16750.00 for a 2015. the one demo 2014 i did find on line, they where asking $13999.00 for it. deals are better when you call your dealer of course.
bought my 2011 on dec 31 2012 for (around) $13000.00 including tax and all i got with it was a spare belt and spark plugs.

Not a guess last year Yamaha dealer Eagle River WI offered non current 2012 xtx blue for $11,500 no tax but I did better at another dealer on low mile used 2012 Black XTX with 3 years YES. I do think Yamaha had $1000 Fall rebate going at the time.

I also watch snowmobiletraderonline.com That usually gives you a pretty good idea where everyone stands. I have found that some of the dealers don't keep their listings up to date.

I found my 2012 XTX leftover on snowmobiletraderonline. Worked the deal and my trade-in on my 2007 GT on the phone. Drove 5 hours to PA to pick it up. Was very happy with the deal.

When I bought my 2012 XTX (the previous years model at the time) I had them throw in a Yamaha OEM Apex complete cover, an extra belt, and I think a balaclava. They couldn't wait till I got the hell out of their store. I think they were pissed but hey I felt good about the purchase. But really they need to make a profit and remember you are buying a bullet proof engine anyways where the first adjustment is a 25,000 miles so really you can't get "ripped off".

Thanks for all the feedback. Turns out I found a Viper XTX that I really liked. I found a good dealer that was willing to negotiate a good deal. I took it home yesterday and am waiting for it to snow.
