Hey guys,
I attempted to start my wife's 2007 Phazer GT this weekend. Needless to say, it did not start. It did make a great attempt to keep running but in the end it would not keep going.
I tried to keep it going by feathering the throttle ( I know I should not have done this) and I'm pretty sure that the plugs are now fouled as there are no more burps coming from the motor.
Will it start if I just let it sit all week? If I put the sled in a heated garage, will this help get the motor to pop off?
If all else fails, I will have to pull the seat and the tank to address the plugs. If I have to do this, do I need to change the plugs or simply dry them out?
Thanks!

I had the same issue with my sled when I pulled it out in October. I found 2 things...
1 - The plugs were fouled. It would start if I shot some starting fluid into the air intakes. But it did run a bit rough.
2 - The gas was stale, even though I put Stabil in the tank. So I filled her up with some fresh gas.
Try putting a fresh tank of gas in first. If that doesnt help, change the plugs. Should fire right up then. Once you get it started let it run for a good 15-20 mins or take it for a nice ride.
Also have you had the Cold Start update? That helps alot!

CHANGE YOUR PLUGS!!! you probably ran stale gas and you may have burned out your plugs, new sparkies, some fresh fuel should do the job...also when starting don't keep your key on till it fires, back off and let the starter cool off every 10 or so seconds. you might want to hook up a charger to your battery as well, my fall start failure drained the poor little battery.

While at my dealer last year, he had a Venture Lite in there changing the plugs, a process in which they had to take half the sled apart because the plugs are near the gas tank, facing backwards. He told me that they foul out if you pump the throttle to much before the red engine light turns off meaning the engine is warm enough.

Couldn't start mine today. Had to drag it on the trailer, and the funny part is it's going in for pre-season service tomorrow. Been having problems with starting this sled since we purchased it. I guess it was a little too late for the cold start update....

Get old gas out and she will start right up with a fully charged batt
Make sure you check condition of battery also.A weak battery will still turn motor over but just not fast enough to get it to fire.A load test is best way to test.Or put voltmeter on battery and crank sled over if less than 11 volts while cranking.Battery has a issue. This year I drained all the gas right away and put fresh in.Darn Battery was weak.I didn't want to buy a new one so I pulled of the rubber seal and sure enough it was very low on water even though its a original sealed battery.Filled it with distilled water and charged it overnight on 1 a charger and sled fires up awesome even at 3deg F sitting outside.

Just got back from the dealer, sled had 2 fouled plugs. Had the cold start update done and a new set of plugs installed and away she goes, no need for new gas either.
