I just bought a 2010 vector LTX for myself and a 2012 Vector LTX for my wife. Looking for suggestions on best choices for mirrors. I've used the Yamaha mirror#8CR-W2628-00-00 and did not care for them. The handlebar mount mirrors#SMA-8FTHB-MR-00 look like they"ll have great visibility but the mount bracket looks fragile. Also going to stud both w/ 108 studs--anyone had good results with Woody's Signature series studs--I've usually run the Goldiggers but have heard?that Signatures are just as good? Also will be running SnowTrackers on both sleds--have had them on 4 prior sleds with excellent results. Thank You.

I picked the handlebar mount mirrors#SMA-8FTHB-MR-00, will put them on next weekend after I pick them up from Hauck.... Better than any other one, IMHO

Mirrors
I have those mirrors. They work nicely. It is odd that the mount is plastic. That is the weak part. Seems like they could do something better for no extra cost. Still the best option.

I just put these on also. I didn't like the plastic bracket that the mirror screws into. I guess if you put this thing on the side, that should break first and possibly save the mirror and handlebar bracket? I think they look good on the sled. Just playing around with them to get them aligned was a pain...I have a slight case of OCD sometimes...

mirrors
Thanks for the feedback, I'll try the handlebar mounted units.

Mike has a good point. I did go over the handlebars last season. I broke the windshield and a mirror bracket. The mirror and mount survived, and I only had to buy the little plastic bracket.

Put the handle bar mirrors on the Vector yesterday , and they look great on the sled and give you a good look at what is behind you! No pics , as I and a buddy were a little ' happy' looking at that great looking sled!!!

I installed the powermadd ones that go on the end of the handgaurds, work very nice. look at my picture and you can see them, mirror rotates to adjust the rearview. I set the right one to see behind me, the left one to who is trying to overtake me on the left when puting along with the family.

I just got the same thing.
I was considering bugeyes.com mounted to the windshield but I needed the hand guards anyway so that was the natural solution.

03RX1-ER-LE,
I see you were riding with a 2003 Polaris Classic. My wife has one just like it and I can't pry it from her hands. Every year I ask her if she is ready for something different and the answer is always the same, NOPE. Why change when I like what I have. So I get a new slide then.

Mirrors
I put the Powermadd (hand guard plus Mirror) on my Vector, all you can see is a headlight at best. Put the Nitro hand guards and Yamaha mirrors on the wife's Apex and you can actually see the person behind you. This year I bought the Yamaha mirrors for mine.

Re: Mirrors

This is true on the limited view, but at least I can see the wife is still there with out asking her over the communicator if she is still there and if all is well. If there is going to be a unplanned stop or concern she just gives me a hollar. For 19.95 for them it does what I wanted them to do. I had the Yamaha ones on the hood, when the handguards went on they were useless, so this was the next best thing for the $. I do like the handle bar mounted ones, will put those on her sled since she likes to see what is behind her.freedom sled said:I put the Powermadd (hand guard plus Mirror) on my Vector, all you can see is a headlight at best.
