Field test - '07 Attack/CPR turbo

I thought about putting it on a relay, but don't want to be re-engineering Jeff's kit (mostly I don't think it is necessary).

Everything else worked perfectly last night and I'm quite certain that giving the gauges and the fan their own dedicated power sources will eliminate the problem.

This is an FJO issue I'm solving, not something related to the kit.

That Painless wiring panel is on a relay ,I believe 7 circuits ,3 are keyed and 4 are constant or the other way around ,it is wired independant of sled wire harness.

What boost levels are you seeing?
About 8lbs

You only have it @8lbs and it's a ROCKET

OH Jim........I Feel The Need 4 Speed, my o8 should get something SPECIAL.....BOOST

Don't you think you've put it off long enough Larry??

Maybe you can hit Don up for a ride on his new CPR RTX! He signed off on the deal a few days ago. One ride and you're done for...

All fixed. I gave the gauges and the Hobb switch dedicated power sources and all is well. Put 20 miles on tonight and everything is perfect now. I'm signing off on the install and will deliver to the customer.

Great post JIm
As far as the electrical Aj and I also used the panel From Painless Wiring (you can purchase thru Summit Racing) it gives you seven additional circuits on the sled that are fused. Can run all the gauges and fans off of there
Art ;)!

Thanks Art, I'll take a look at the Painless panel.

I have the same fuse block wired in my sled. Take a look at my project thread for pictures of it. Cost was around 75 bucks. Comes with everything you need, wire connectors, 2 breakers, etc. I would have to guess it weighs around 2lbs. I mounted mine in the front of my sled. I can get a pic for ya if you need one of it installed. There isn't allot of room after my S/C install, so I had to improvise. lol

Thanks Vince. I have the pics you were asking about - I'll send them out tonight.

 Kewl, thanks, Jim.

Jim you let the cat out of the bag!!!! Bounty spent all his money on paint and redesigning his own 40th anniversary. I think he's trying to work his way into a design job with Yamaha.

I have a kit comeing this week. Jeff said he set this kit up for 93 pump gas. Ths best I can get here is 91. Is 91 the octane level that you are useing with the kit?

I ran it last night on 4:1 91 octane and 110. On an initial shakedown I always like to have some insurance on the fuel until I confirm wastegate settings, and that the gate is functioning properly.

I'd speak to Jeff directly about what he suggests for your kit. I've advised this customer that you always want to be a few points over on whatever octane is considered 'safe'.

I did ask Jeff about this. He has set up the kit to run 93 and has'nt worked with 91. I had asked him about running 87 on the ocasion when thats all there is, he said just take a pound out of it. Then I called him a few days later when i realized that most likely he set things up on 93 and he did. He told me the same thing just take out a pound of boost. Are you planning to run it at 8 lbs with 91 once you get a feel for the kit.
The guy I'm getting this for and installing it and setting it up for drives real hard and I need realiabilityfor sure.
