So, I finally made it to the 4 stroke side.
Considering that I have been obsesed with the 09 nytro xtx since a demo last winter, I figured I should sign up here.
I have been impressed with all the yamaha 4 strokes, as I have tried basically every one out over the last few years.
So when I eventually make the jump to a sled with 2 more strokes, and an oil filter, it probably will be a yamaha

welcome to the site, lots of great info here,i rode an xtx the other day, holycrap, that thing is sweet,i ride a 09 vector but after trying the nytro,it is way different, the main thing is the power and sound that comes out of that thing, very addictive, but i do love my vec and couldnt be happier with it

An 05 vector was the first yamaha 4 stroke I demo'd.
I liked it a lot. I like the exhaust note from inline triples on Triumph sport bikes, so I knew there was a monster waiting to be unleashed with some tweaking on the vector mill.
After I rode the new phazer, I told the yamaha demo crew I wanted an efi vector motor in the phazer chassis. The guy just smiled. And they did make that for 08 as the fx nytro....

Welcome! I'm very happy I made the switch. Last sled was a '98 Vmax sx. I still own 2 Phazers, a '96 and a '99.

Welcome aboard!! Might wanna post your location in your profile as the mods are gonna ask you to do it! I absolutely love 4 strokes and this is my first year on a Yammi and let me tell you I absolutely LOVE my XTX!! This is the best sled I have ever owned for many reasons and number one being that beloved 4 stroke torque and power!! Holy crap, I'm gonna look like an ape after winter with my long stretched arms dangling by my side!!
