Well the last 2 years have been a hand full for me and my 2007 attak. I bought it with about 5500 miles, and now have almost 7000 miles. the first fall had a pretty large laundy list to do.

1. install yamaha windshield bag
2. install nosecone bag
3. install heated visor plug into dash.
4. install studboy duece bars on the existing X2 tripplethreat skiis.
4. Replace battery, and instll pigtail for battery tender.
5. install remote starter (sledstart)
6. install yamaheater with booster module.
7. install skidplate
8. install ulmers front bushing kit.
9. replace exhaust donuts, and install excell y-pipes.
10. do "beef up kit + powder coat skid.
11. install trailtech temp gauge.
12. upgrade headlight bulb to "brite-lites".
13. install TRIC ice scratchers....removed after 1 day of riding...JUNK
14. Hardwire GPS
15. lots of other maintainence like oil changes, belt, lube, alignments, etc.

everthing went pretty well all winter. I burned up my tips at the front of the rails, so I
1. put on new rail tips
2. installed anti-stab kit from whal racing

On to my summer of 2011 project.

1. intstalled "starter saver" warning light.
2. installed "fan on" warning light (also plug and play)
3. ground 1 tooth of my speed gear in an attempt to make speedo more accurate
4. Replace exhaust covers...old ones just scratched a bit
5. Replace all steering plastic bushings(oem). I wanted OFT bushings, but they were shut down for the summer,
6. Replace track with COBRA
7. Replace driveshaft with HD shaft.
8. replace drivers with extros(whal racing)
9. replace all driveline bearings
10. add 4th wheel kit, and replace all rear wheels(spoke style)
11. add two more boggie wheels(they are all the new spoke style now)
12. add pioneer hyfax saver wheel brackets to all wheels.
13. replace both drive and driven clutch springs
14. install rear cooler (OEM)
15. Revalve and rebuild rear shock (pioneer)
16. add a 2 inch taller riser, t-cable, park brake cable, + ram mount for gps.(lake effect)
17. add snake strap mountain strap. (Rox)
18. install coolent heater(110 volt plug-in)
19. Lots of other maintainence again like new hyfax, oil change, lube, alignments, etc.

In summery, I should be happy with the sled now for a few years I hope. I have never done this much expense to any polaris that I have owned, but I do love this engine...it is addictive. Next year I would like to address the slightly loose steering still. I will change over to the OFT bushings I beleive. Also some slop in the front two Idler arms located under the battery...not sure what I will need there yet. Here are some pictures of the final product.

I would like to thank every member of the awsome sight for their input and advice. also the vendors of this sight for their quality products and expertise THANK-YOU :rocks:

Awesome sled!

Curious, did you ever consider removing the tunnel protectors? I see yours are in. You're not running studs so you really don't need them. A few cuts with the dremmel and they'd be out.

You'd save about 30-40 lbs of ice build up in there on a long ride.

X2 it helps a lot.

You couldn't rely on a Polaris for long enough to keep it and to spend this much on it. Just saying. I rode Polaris for years, never again. Yamaha is it.

Never thought about it. I don't want anything banging on the exhaust. Does it stay off the exhaust with no problem? Also, did you guys remove the front protectors also?....I know that they are pretty close to the track

I took the tunnel protectors out of both my current sleds and run a 1.75 track, no studs and have had no problems. Your sled looks great and you have done all the best up-grades. You will be very happy with it and get many years of great riding out of it.
