03 is nice and fast and gives you plenty of room for customization. There's really not much difference. Different suspension on the back, different calibration of the front. You only need the cooshy suspension if you're a softy like gramps (above) ;-).

Damn kids today give us old farts no respect :tg: LB you must be close to graduating eh! must feel pretty good ;)!

Oh yeah and its Cushy not Cooshy LOL

ONLY SIX MORE DAYS!!

Have to agree, Convert. Been away for the week-end and just got back to 5 fresh inches on top of the 5 I already had at the lake. Hardly got out of the truck and the sled was out of the trailer. Now I have 60 instead of 21 miles on it. LOVE THE RIDE!!!! Smooooooth LaLaLa like a babies bottom.

Convert,
How are the trails in Park Rapids? We only have about 3-4 inches in Backus, but if we get 5 I will ride around the house a little bit. I'll be around for a month starting next week so we might have to get together and ride if the snowfall is adequate!

Congrats......Can someone do me a favor and say something positive about the 03... you guys are depressing me on a daily basis and i have not even riden it yet

Change the shock valving and spring rates, put on a ripsaw and your in good shape ;)!

Nice post Steve. Sounds like your in monoshock heaven!!
Could it be too much weight transfer for a good holeshot coming out of a corner?

Rode the Heartland trail from park rapids to walker twice what a riot. If i had to rate em i'd say fair to good by sunday they were still ridable except for all the downed tree's laying across the trail wind gusts up to 60 mph gonna take a little work to clear the trails :( I have the week off between Xmas and New Years plan on putting some miles on up there so keep in touch ;)!

Hole shots in the corner can be scary with this setup hard to steer when both ski's are in the air LOL with my 03 ski lift was a problem now i've got a skis lift problem but i love it ;)! I'm sure once i make a few adjustments i'll get that part under control :yam:

Sounds good...Do they still keep people off the paved part of the Heartland by making them ride on those side trails? I haven't ridden that trail in awhile. My godparents live in PR, so we do quite a bit of riding over that way. Nice looking sled by the way! :yam:

Your supposed to stick to the snowmobile trail not the bike path but you sure see a lot of tracks on the blacktop too! I prefer the hills and twistys myself on the snowmo trail that straight smooth blacktop gets kinda boring but after a 200 mile day i have been tempted ;)!
