Hey guys, I picked up a '15 STX that only had a few miles on it and finished the season with a grand total of 295 miles on it, so I guess it is still in the break-in period. The manual says to do the first oil change and chain case oil at 500 miles. Should I change the oils now since they have been in the sled since '15 or should I wait until I put 500 miles on it until some point next season? Not sure if the oils break down over time or not... Thanks in advance.

Id do it now as well. Did my first in less than 50 miles. Second one was at 500 miles.

Oils do deteriorate over time. I'd change the oil but I might skip the filter.

Do everythng now you're close enough to the break in miles. Otherwise you're going to be working on a oli change mid season.
