that is a rebadge for sure. those are even cat ski's with blue loops. I don't believe it yet. i would say this close to release this is a pic to set us off the trail

Yeah and it's not that crisp. The "Viper" badges look funny too. It might just be a well done photoshop

if so, thats the best photoshop i have ever seen

yeah the second photo looks pretty legit too. But I'm still not 100% convinced. Sitting about 85% right now

be 100 percent cuz its true. My well placed source says so... dont know the particulars yet but it is a cat chassis, yama motor but dont know the rest...

Cool. What does you source say about turbo? Looks like turbo vents on the front of it ;)!

How do we know it's even a 4-stroke motor? I heard rumors of a 2-stroke joining the Yamaha stable again. Could be a ~130 h.p. HPDI 600 twin tucked into that chassis. They still have a lot of 2-stroke technology from the Outboard motors they build... Just saying...

Source couldnt give me specifics but did give me the chassis is a cat/yam colabaration. the vents im thinking might be for a radiator since yamaha likes radiators so much......

I asked my buddy if the photo was real and he just laughed and said guess you have to wait and see so I have no clue i am at 95% that they are real but who knows

Cat is rumoured to be coming out with a new DI 2-stroke so yeah could even be a shared motor.

I am not sure how I feel about the partnership yet...

I think Suzuki's partnership with supplying motors was supposed to be over in 2014. It could very well be a shared, or Yamaha built, motor.

If it is true, I hope Yam is using their own chaincase and clutch designs, and reverse too.

That I agree with 100%... The Cat 1100 is a belt eater. And I hear the belt is almost $200.

That would be awesome. Cat handling with a tweaked Nytro motor. I still have my ZR 700 just to remember what a great handling sled it still is but with a "ho hum" motor.

To bad it has those big ugly a-arms and spindles

I read on a different site, that it was a nytro motor, yamaha clutches, front dump exhaust, and the rest was Cat. Built by cat, for yamaha.

Would be a sweet sled if you ask me. Turning out to be an interesting release thats for sure!

Sorry but I'll take my "big ugly a-arms and spindles" over a poor handling Nytro anyday, anytime. My Turbo has same belt after 1000miles, hasn't caught fire and has original slides and skis. I wanted to blow up my Nytro after the same period.
Having said that, a Nytro motor in this chassis no matter the colour or the name will have me at the Yamaha dealer before the week is over. It's already a done deal. ;)!
