You are right! There were years I really liked the Cats especially the original EXTs and King Cats in the early years but my SW is the only sled I have ever owned that had anything to do with Arctic Cat....I also have never owned a Ski Doo.And I bet you never thought you'd be riding a Cat someday....
Either did I!
Being in aviation I have always respected build quality and that is why I have primarily owned Yamahas.

Well, we were looking at a great season, but it all went to pot. Yesterday was 51F with a 1/2 inch of rain and 55mph winds. Took the week off to ride and snow is all gone. Grrrrrrrrrr.......

Ya I hear that, you got that same heat wave and rain we had Glenn. I watched it move East. Its still all messed up, another couple day cool down for us, but next week is back in the mid to high 30's all week, and of course they say don't be surprised to see a 50 thrown in there too. Hopefully after Christmas maybe..... I hope it pans out better for us anyway this year after two back to back shut out seasons. We have certainly lived thru it before, but when they tell you colder and snowier then normal it sure is a let down.
Mike, Glenn and I had the discussion about heading to the UP to ride. We each had our own plans but I kinda liked Glenn"s More!!! Hopefully we can make this happen in the near future!!!!Ya I hear that, you got that same heat wave and rain we had Glenn. I watched it move East. If the chance to ride Vilas/ Oneida Co.,Wis are available during your trip, I'd highly recommend it.Mike, Glenn and I had the discussion about heading to the UP to ride. We each had our own plans but I kinda liked Glenn"s More!!! Hopefully we can make this happen in the near future!!!!
It would be like going to Ft. Lauderdale and not going to the beach.
While the U.P. and those two Wis. County's are connected, once you cross the stateline it's like being on another planet.

Highly recommend you American guys experiencing a few shitty seasons in a row make arrangements to come to Quebec. The best groomed trail riding on the planet. Far enough north they are surviving global warming screwing over our favourite hobby so far. Snowmobiling in Quebec is not relegated to redneck status, it is looked at way differently than in Ontario. The places to stay on a saddlebag tour are amazing from the Ontario border to the Atlantic and back. Going in a couple weeks with a raft of A types on brand new Doo turbos and Polaris Boosts so I am going over the max spool 17 TD tuned 2018 LTX LE with a fine toothed comb. Can’t have the old girl with 24,000 kms getting outran because of a screwed roller or bearing lol

Warning! Don't ride the Quebec trails... You'll never want to ride your local trails again. Haha that pretty much sums them up.I already have season pass for Quebec!!!! You are right, there is not a much better trail system that I have experienced.
I though the speed limit was enforced up there? And what about aftermarket exhaust?Warning! Don't ride the Quebec trails... You'll never want to ride your local trails again. Haha that pretty much sums them up.

What is the speed limit? I hope it's not like MN which is at 50! My muffler isn't even hot at 50. Rediculous! The politicians who propose and pass these laws, and who supposedly represent me, don't even know what a snowmobile is!

The muffler checks are in the south usually near urban centers. As far as speed enforcement on the wide thoroughfares in the north I have rode 100 mph for extended periods of time up there. Around 1/3 throttle on my sled lol. Slow down near towns and besides that it is like riding 20’ plus wide autobahns everywhere. Sometimes near an urban center there will even be a few bumps, really rare though

Is there an official speed limit?
