Hi guys!
After working 13hours a day 8 days in a row after purchasing the sled, it was finally time to go home for Christmas and try the sled.
Down at sealevel there was/is only 15cm of snow so I figured I only got to take it for a spin down the field but I followed a gravel road into the forest and the snow depth kept increasing!
Well it wasnt more then 50cm and it was hard some places but I did some nice carves without having to hang out on the side of the sled, great!!
(I have the skis in the most narrow position and less airpressure in the front shocks, about 60PSI).
I was much easier then expected to lean the sled over, and when I get the OFT relocator I guess it will be even easier.
I was all alone and it was cloudy and foggy, but I still had a great time. Going over bumps sending the skis in the skies and then do a carve when the skis came down, great!!
I went up a gnarly section were someone else had turned around, on the next gnarly part I hit a rock so I decided to turn around, no point in bending the subframe one the first ride. Going down I was pleased to see that were the others had turned around I could only see my track-footprint, no skis
However I did notice that the handlebar sometimes hit my knees so the OFT relocator will be great I think. I allso had to jiggle the sled a little sometimes in order to get the reverse in. All normal I guess.
Gees I`m a geek, sorry lol
Anyways heres some shots:
New and old, love em both but after todays ride it will be easier for me to let her go.
Well anyway merry christmas everybody!!

Nice sled. I really like the looks of the nytro.

Hi guys!
Thanks Excava8er!
Today we went for a little ride, me , my friend with the Vector MTN and his brother on the V-Max 4 farm-edition.
We had rather low expectations to make a "decent" ride but it turned out we managed to get to the highest mountain of our island, Trollfjellet, 1050 meters above sea level.
Today I got to ride some more difficult places with the Nytro, and I must say when thinking about the lenght of the track and the (weight, if I dare to say so) it`s very easy to handle. The only thing I found difficult was sidehilling to the left on hard surface, I got little control over the throttle and when riding just a tad over engagement rpm the ride became "bumpy" , BUT, as soon as I get the goldfinger it`s all sorted out.
Here`s some shots:
If you look closely you can see the traces up the hill
The V-Max four is still running strong!!
Thanks Excava8er!

All in all a great day.
Oh I almost forgot to mention it, I rolled the sled today! To nice turns, but NO damages at all.. well one of the orange "reflexes" on the end of the tunnel got a little bent but I was going to remove them anyways so.. .
We were riding upp a hill with some icy "rocks" and I hit this bump and when I came over the top (with way to little speed) the track started spinning and I just abandoned the ship as the sled started going the wrong way lol.. so all I can say is that this was my fault and not the sled, great Joakim! =P
Wellwell

Joakim.I told you you would love the nytro!Nice pics.

Glad to see this 4 stroke is working better for you than your first one. It already sounds like you're happier with it.
Hi guys!
Thanks fro the replies
You were right pro116, I just hope Earnie upgrades soon.. just like Johnny.
As for the helmets we dont seem to learn, its not the first time I get comments on the helmet-issue, and keep them coming so that maybe we will start using them.
Crewchief47 yeah this is way different ride then the first ones back in 03, however I guess that the main reason for me not liking the RX 1 ER and the Warrior was that I purchased a trail sled and thought it would be great for the mountains, dunno what I was thinking about.
Well, I still think the first RX1s looks awesome and sounds awesome, so that might have something to do with the purchase=P
Were going riding again tomorrow, cant wait.

Helmets, Helmets, Helmets.
Ok, looks like a great place to ride. Glad you had a great time and made it home safe.
Sorry, big supporter of Helmet wearing.

You guy's sure have some nice scenery in Norway
Nice pic's
The guys are right, helmets are a good thing. Over the years my helmets have taken some pretty good whacks. I'd hate to see what my head would have looked like, if I had not been wearing a helmet.
I prefer the MX style and googles, while others prefer face shield type. Try them all on to see what type fits you best. If it's comfortable, then your more likely to wear it!

I really enjoy seeing sledding pictures from other countries. A lot of the pics I've seen from Norway show fairly hard packed snow. Do you guys get very many big dumps throughout the year? How much snowfall do you average in a season?

Hi !
As for the helmet issue, I am going to get a helmet both for me and my girlfriend. I got a giftcard at the local dealer for christmas so I`m going to use it on a helmet.
As for the snow, it is still early, the good part of the season normally doesnt start before mid February.
Right now it`s very little snow and like you say it is hard, although not everywhere, I`ve had the trottle pinned several times going upp small - steep hills and its so nice when you think youre going to get stuck but just pin it and the skis come up and its just great ;-)
We went riding again today, so far I`ve put 130km on the clocks.
A few shots

Weather reports sais its going to snow on Thursdag and newyears eve, great!!!
