Is there any way to tell if the subframe on my Nytro is the original?

08 subframe I believe is the one that lacks a big hole in the bottom plate between the lower arms in the subframe.

How weak are they actually? Will they bend under normal riding weak or are you talking hitting jumps & stuff? This is my first sled so I doubt I'll be to crazy, I'll probably spend the first winter just getting used to it & how to drive really. The gusset kit is way over my mechanical ability so I'm going to have to hire someone to do it, I'll probably leave it this winter & get it done over the summer.yea and the newer subframe is to soft also. ist not so soft, but i have hit some trees with my skies from time to time and bent the subframe. But on my old sled a yamaha mountain max i also hit trees but nothing happened then
But i just ride my nytro with the subframe i have on. Nothing to worry about until its to much bent tho.

Is it a big job to change the crank cover gasket on bottom of the motor? I noticed it's leaking a little bit when I took the skid plate off.

check your airbox for oil in there. the pan cover never leaks, unless it was previously taken apart and not put back together rightIs it a big job to change the crank cover gasket on bottom of the motor? I noticed it's leaking a little bit when I took the skid plate off.

Ok I'll check that out, but I'm 99% positive it's leaking at the seam on the front side of the cover. I wiped everything down really good a month ago & there is 1 small drop on one of the screws, you can see that it came from the seal.
