Take a look at your wear bars with the sled sitting on a flat level surface. If the front of your turning carbide is touching and the rear isn't, you've got a darting problem caused by this. Use a 3/16" shim or so behind the spindle, screw it to the ski bumper. Use rubber or plastic, no metal. Good luck!

Read my big long post about a shorty handling. Three words...ski heel pressure. I made various wedges and went extreme thickness first, and there was absolutely no darting....although it couldn't steer either 8) Somewhere in between solves it. And I run tight pulled up limiters, as I do not want a lot of rocking..we're always on and off the gas, and I need to steer. Heel pressure will fine tune out the darting, and keep weight on the skis for control. It'll steer harder at slow speeds, but get perfect as the speed increases, yet won't do anything scary, as the high heel pressure forces the skis straight. Low heel makes the skis turn easier and cause darting. Think about it...pressure in front of the spindle makes the ski turn easy as the snow hits it and pushes it...pressure behind makes them want to straighten out. Get this balanced, and you're all set.
Berstrom is 100% correct with their shim technique...but mine are adjustable on the trail, by removing thickness from behind the saddle. 8)

Thanks guys
This just started after putting in the 12mm bar and longer arms. It ran great last season. But I was trying to get better steering. I didn't do anything to the rear skid.
Any suggestions on how much I should let out on the straps? Also what about the weight transfer rods?

Sumpbusters wedges are the way to go makes steering much easier my problem was the material i used fell out somewhere along the trail
Now I have to come up with a more permanant wedge
But it definitely improved my steering while they were there.
