Fix Power Sports Clutch Kit AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheaper than a polaris fusion belt. $129 these belts are contracted out to be made and we do not have 5000 of them made at a time. We have to pay for proto types that we spec out and then test and then pay to have a run made of the belt we went with. When you buy runs of small quantites this costs money. Why do some customers think that research, development and testing costs nothing. We throw out more kits that don't work than we ever market.
I do have a question for badcat on your prior post you said:

i have one, it works no better than my straight line kit and it cost a lot more. a waste of money. very lazy feeling, slow back shift.

Now you say it's no good and it does not work, if it works as good as your other clutch kit it can't be all bad or maybe it was not set up properly or you are looking for a different set up. We have not had any complaints except for a few that took it to Yamaha dealers to install and unfortunately the dealers installed them wrong after asking a few questions to the customer we recommended that they find someone that could contact us and walk throuugh it as they had no idea what we were talking about. We cannot be there to install these and we reccomend that if you have no experience with cluthes that you take it to a knowledgeable person. A clutch kit that works can be made to look bad by not being properly installed.

Please contact us if you have questions, we are more than willing to talk about the kit. Bad cat the kit does what we says it does, 4-6 sled lengths and a few MPH on top. We advertised no more no less.

bottom line its not very good!!!!! and very expensive and you have buy your belts from them.

Badcats,Not sure I agree here..I cant say its not very good, cause we tested it on Toms sled and it pulls like a freightrain.....His sled is faster now BY MANY SLED LENGTHS then it was stock for sure....

cost is expensive,HOWEVER.....if you price up cost of another kit, then you add the 23 gearing, and then add clutch machining for OD...I can guarantee you will be MORE then the FIX kit costs...add it all up and you will agree.

If you simply want a more tradtional kit,you may want to go to others, however most guys end up realizing they NEED the 23 gear to really make these sleds work well...and FIX in their testing is the first company to put this knowledge into a kit...I say bravo!

I bet Tom wishes he went with the FIX kit from the get-go...since he had to buy the 23 gear, and have clutch cut prior for other "kits" to work as well....in the END the FIX kit cost is really no issue,if you were going to gear it anyway.

horsepower and sledlengths costs money, thats the way it is, keep up the good work fix, many of us is glad you came with a kit like this, this isnt for sure money for nothing and chicks for free. :-o

Mach, the more I read the more the Fix kit sounds like the one I want for next season.

I'm thinking the same thing. I like the idea of not cutting the sheaves...even though it probably isn't a big deal.

at what distance is this kit picking up the 4-6 lengths? Is it all in the first 100'? A gradual pull all the way thru, or only on the big end past 1000' because of the OD?

I just saw on ulmers site they will be offering a clutch kit w/ a gear and chain. Is this the same Idea as the FIX kit? It's also the same price. Just wondering?? I purchased the FIX kit on tuesday. Hoping to get acouple of rides in with it on before the desdon goes to #$%&*

i think this kit pulls stockers from bottom to top....TOM runs alot closer to me then he ever did...Tom is a big boy too..lol....so we both feel this kit is a winner overall..especially for those who are thinking about gearing too...this covers all bases with their widebelt and built in OD.

one thing you guys need to remember about the OD.....our sleds with a 23 gear and NO CUT will still run close to 117-120 in theory....anyone who thinks the OD cut OR FIX OD is gonna make it faster UNDER 120mph is incorrect.

the OD is simply needed INCASE you happen to have that perfect track,or tailwind,or downhill road....whatever it takes to get over 120mph.....the 24 stock tooth doesnt run into this issue cause its geared for 125+......but the 24 gear doesnt work as good as 23 gear....

as a test you could take the exact FIX KIT without the widebelt and split collar for OD,and realistically it should be exactly the same up until 118-120 or so....If you could pull those speeds, then the one with OD would keep going faster as it has OD built into it...while the one without OD built on would run outa gear.

FIX covered all bases with their kit, which is why its more costly but no other kits include built in OD AND GEARS....If other guys come out with gearing,it will be more money and most likely you will still need to have clutch cut.....unless they also use a widebelt like FIX does.

For those of you who are interested that own our ram air or cluth kits or both. We have aquired power commander boxes and have programed them to work with either our clutching or ram air or both. We are able to go in and work the progrma so you can work with the motor every 500 RPM's to add and lean out . so this means you can take away and add fuel in various places thorugh the entire RPM band. We have seen another 2 sled lenghts increase by doing this. You can really make all the kits come togeather for you, this is our final phaze of our kits until our big bore kit gets done. There are various spots in the band that you can really make this motor work for you. You will be able to hook this up and mount it directly on your sled as well as have capabilites to connect direct to a labtop to fine tune your motor should you need to. AGAIN, this was develped with our kits, we do not reccomend thisnor should you use this for a stock apex as this is for fine tuning after adding mod kits as I mentioned above. This box is not cheap by no means but if you are looking for that extra edge to bring everything togeather then this will do that for you. I', not going to get into how it works on here, if you are interested and have one of our kits feel free to contact us.

Thanks for looking and having interest in our kits, we sincerely appreciate it as we enjoy the sport as much as you do.

Thanks Again,
Tim
