Flames rolling out the Tail pipes after shut off. Has any one have this happen? I was up on the HIll yesterday and when I would stopfor a Drink,Right after I shut the sled off it would shoot a little flam out the tail Pipe, It only did it in the day Once it got dark out (and colder) it did not do it anymore. I was wondering if anyone had this happen or had any idea why?

I had that happen to me on a warm day with triple pipes after running full throttle for a ways. I think because of the warm temps, the sled runs rich and with the amount of air and fuel moving, the engine doesn't burn it all. Wasn't a big deal, it only happened to me once. The only differance with me was it was throwing flames out while I was driving it. Looked kind of cool, from what my buds said. lmao.

I would say you are running just a bit rich and you could get better gas mileage by correcting the air fuel mixture. Check your air filter first though this could be causing a rich condition if it is dirty or plugged with snow before touching the adjustments.

I had that happen last winter. My daughter fell asleep while riding in front of me, and hit the kill switch. The 2nd time she did it, we got a little flame shoot.

That happens to me. The fix is to let the engine fully idle down to the lowest rpm and then let it idle there for 10-15 sec beyond that.

4 stokes really like to calm down a bit before you shut dem off.
Specially those with Turbo kits..

Check your air filter and air box for any restrictions prior to messing with the settings on your carbs. Make a note of where everything is set and write it down prior to starting to play with the settings on carbs also. Then you can as a last resort set everything right back to where it was if you get confused on where what is set where.
