I got a new seat cover out of Yamaha because the rivets caused a rip. I then took it to an upholstery shop where they added about 3 inches of foam.

looks good leeko! I'm now thinking I should do the same instead of ordering an 05 seat or a boss. Where did you get this done?

Dano,

I just took it upholstery shop that my dealer recommended In Lyons,IL. The guy mainly did furniture but also did motorcycle seats and sleds.

Adding foam+install= $50 US

They didnt have to add more material to the seat??

He was able to use the seat cover without adding or restitching anything. He did remove the wire from the bun and then added a wire to hold the form of the seat before it enters the cowl.

Is it the same density as the stock foam.?

How comfortable is it??

It feels like similar density to the original foam. Anything is more comfy than the stock seat. I did the same thing to my viper last year and you would be suprised at how much comfort additional foam can add. It is also way eaiser on your knees if you stand often.

LEEKO.... YOu should talk the guy who did your seat into making a kit for us that we could install ourselves!!

He could have precut foam and instructions!
