When I pulled my carbs to clean them all went great except for on screw. Had to run a dremel across it and turn it into a flat head screw. They where all very tight and needed huge pressure on the screw driver to keep from stripping. Then on one of them I didn't get the pressure or angle right.
Quick trip to Canadian tire got me 16 allen head screws for a few bucks. Will make the next time I have to clean them less of a hassle! I would put a drop of oil or never sieze on the threads. Metal and alluminum tend to bind and stick to each other! Ask people about changing plugs on the newer aluminum head vehicles with 60,000 mile change intervals!

Quit screwing around with those Phillips head bowl screws, they'll just mess with your mind and/or cause you to use lots of colourful language.

Yep, this is mostly for those guys that find them local or don't want a whole box of 50 or 100. My 50 count sells for $12.50 plus shipping/taxes.
Any luck finding screws for the topside of the carb? Like one's that hold the plastic caps down. I tried abit, nothing yet.

i've never taken the screws off the top caps of the carbs, but if you take one out and take it to your local fastenal store, i'm sure they could find a match for you.

The carb tops use what so far looks like a one off shoulder screw.
I've had an aluminum side panel screw (with socket head drive) quoted and I could probably sell those at about $2.50 each. Not sure they would sell though.....polished and anodized.

I would be interested in side panel screws, black thou. Kinda so they disappear into the sled. Not polish for me, as they would stick out like a sore thumb. If you dont want to have andoizing done, I can get it done here.
