just an fyi- i removed it all on the side panels and lower panels and saved 5 lbs
12 lbs if it was wet or frozen!-noted that clutch and chaincase run cooler and also suspect that if foam on clutch side panel was wet it could be dripping on clutch while riding

i dont know of any negatives other than the epa getting mad beacause now there a little more clutch noise that is heard!!
the best way ive found is to pull off as much as you can by hand then i used 3m release agent and got the glue off of them-its messy but it works
