Alright i thought i would just tell you guys what problems and what i dont or do like about the phazer. Well i dont have a shop so it fails cold/hard starting conditions terribly.

It gets terrible ice buildups and the plastic just doesnt fit right. And their a pain in the #*$&@ to take on and off in the cold when ice has built up.

A big amount of play in the steering.

So basically its my dads sled now it dont start when i wanna go.

So anyways i went back to Ski-Doo got a 2009 MXZ TNT 500SS which is a 600 (597cc) and i couldnt be happier with it besides starts first pull and weve hit -45 with the windchill.

No offense to yamaha and its owners i like the sled as long as its workin good and ur in the wide open and not on my windy bush trails through swamp and over a few logs its SOO tippy but i like its accel speed which is slower than the Ski-Doo but the skidoo has almost twice the power and its just a good fun sled.

But im gonna stick with my 2-Strokes untill further notice :) have fun guys and happy sledding!

Yeah, I wondered what happened to you - last year you were a frequent contributor - and then I saw the negative post earlier which didn't sound like you at all. So you got an early Christmas gift from Ski-doo eh!

Good luck with the doo, like to have one since its much lighter than the four-stokes but been reading about the doo,s bursting into flames(then saw it for myself). Not good. #$%&*

Its kinda funny with all new sleds .most of my buddies are doo loyal but have their sleds in the shop all the time and mine has only broken once so this type of stuff happens to all the brands.

I wish i got a new sled two years in a row, haha. well i just got my phazer and have 110 miles on it. so far it is a lot better than my ski-doo that i had (zx chassis). It doesn't corner as flat as the ski-doo did, but that makes sense as you are sitting higher on the phazer, if you lean hard in the turns then it corners fine (for me anyways). The power coming from a 500 2 stroke to this is a lot better, i find it a lot easier to throw around and side hill etc. ... It all comes down to personal preferance i suppose. I am not saying the ski-doo was bad, the only problem we really had in the 5 years was the relays always went out on them, causing the sled to shut off, it always happened at the worst time to ( between the interstate, and in a small creek) my brothers always had the head light/tail light/ gauge speedo/tach relay go out. my dad has always been on yamaha and they have never had any problems, but so far i am impressed with the phazer. good luck with the skidoo btw lol

Have you taken your Phazer in for the recall on the cold starting problem and the rear hole cover? These fixes won't help the 'tippiness' but they should solve the rest of the problems (except the plastic fit) you're having trouble with. Except for the time and fuel, the service should be free.

Max ;)!
