Nope, already had the plastic cut for the apex seat. Straight up bolt on. The seat actually came with rivets but I was changing so much that I wanted it to be easy on/off.
The exhaust was built by me by cutting and welding up what I wanted. I had the pipe bent at 20 degrees and flared to 2.25 on the other end. I then oval-shaped it with my vice until it fit nice on my y pipe that I cut from my stock exhaust. I used some ideas from the katchess thread to make it easier. The muffler is a super trap that I already had. I just welded and clamped or built mounts where needed.
Feel free to ask anything that might help in your build. Mine was a lot of measuring, thinking, and remeasuring. If I can save someone a headache I will.

It's a skinz seat for an apex. I had bought an apex seat that I never ended up riding. Found these that were a bit under 7lbs if I remember right.
She is down almost 80lbs from stock and this seat was even taller than the apex.

Awesome just awesome. Per my last comment you have the highest value on snow right there! Have you ever weighed it as it sits? My apex is down to 678 (most RX'1s were 720+) that is full of fuel, supercharger, but still stock seat, exhaust, and suspension so I have a easy 80 lbs I could remove yet and actually have the same 41" arms you have and some floats sitting in the shop waiting to be installed among other lightweight goodies. Same as you married with 2 kids and I used to have more time then money and now I have more money then time but still want to do all the work to my sled myself because its almost as much fun as riding now! Wish I could take a couple weeks off from the family and work on the sled!

The one thing that separates the RX1 from the apex was the stock exhaust on the RX1 with the factory X pipe was the coolest sound ever. I hated the weight of that massive can but my lord it sounded amazing. I wish I could replicate that with my apex, mine still sounds good compared to other sleds but nothing was better then that RX1 I had. Do you have any pictures of your modified supertrapp? I'm sure you cut the X in half to make it work, did you ever ride yours stock to compare?

Kinger, myself and Schmidt made this exhaust for my RX its same 2.5" oval like a apex and he rebaffled my stock muffler, man does it turn heads going by.The one thing that separates the RX1 from the apex was the stock exhaust on the RX1 with the factory X pipe was the coolest sound ever. I did cut the X right behind where it came together. I will try to get some pics Thursday or Friday. I have to get it out of the trailer to reload to head north Friday afternoon. (Sleds only fit loaded in the right order. Lol )
I did weigh it before and after my mods but don't remember the numbers. I know that it was down 78lbs weighed like three times.
I used blocks of wood and moved the scale to each ski and track while maintaining level by moving the blocks around. It was empty of fuel at the time, as I had the fuel tank off.
I have done a couple more small things since weighing it so I am sure it is down 80 plus now. When the battery dies I will do something there too.
The sound was great stock. I rode the sled about 300 miles before I started tearing it apart. The only thing I liked stock was the motor.

The super trap works well. I started with no disks on it and it was way to loud!!! Added several discs and washers and it settled into a decent tone low and midrange. Still a bit louder than I like with the throttle pinched. I probably ended up with like 20 bucks into the exhaust but I already had the muffler.

Sorry it too so long guys. Got on the sleds and forgot about it.
One thing I didn't mention before is that I added a kind of block off under where the stock muffler sat. I had a lot of ice build up before adding that. Now I have very little ice build up at all.
The sound is very similar to a street bike at speed with a bit more thump at idle.
