So, I had a hard time starting my Multi Purpose (2008) in cold weather... Cranked it a lot, no start. Tried boosting it, that didn't work either. So I brought it into the garage and after an hours work and disassembling half the sled, I got the plugs out. Looks like one is fouled.
Any idea what is causing this?

Probably OK but one oily plug could indicate a problem. Are you using any oil? How many miles? After you put in the new plugs check them after running it a couple hundred miles. If ones oily you could have a bad valve seal or guide or worn rings. Not likely.

Maybe a leaky injector? Put in new plugs and run it for a while to see what happens. It could just be from the repeated failed starts but just one side is strange. Check that the throttle body to intake boots are tight.
Go to the Yamaha dealer and get a bottle of Ring Free. It might clear up any sticking rings and possibly injectors. Can't hurt but it's good stuff. Use as directed.
