Hi All
Can someone tell me if fox floats off a 09 nytro will fit a 07 fx
And are they any good or should I just have the shocks rebuilt on the FX

nope, 1.5" longer and the float 1 aren't a very good shock. If you look around you will find places clearancing Float 2 shocks for 450-550$ a pair and they are a big improvement over float 1 shocks.

If you are looking for a cheap pair of Floats that bolt on, search for a set from an Apex. They are really close to the stock length Phazer shocks.

One other thing about the floats that needs to be considered that not many people mention is the bushing mounting points. Yamaha cheaped out on the oem versions of the float and used a polyurethane bushing and collar instead of the more expensive and durable rod end style that come on the aftermarket versions of the float. The oem bushing ovals out after a year or 2 of hard use which allows the shock to move up and down in the mount. I discovered this 2 years ago on my son's 09 RTX.

Long story short, buy the aftermarket versions if you have a choice. And as already mentioned go with the float 2's over the original floats.
