For those with a freeride on your FX/RTX/GT/Standard - what are you seeing for top end and RPMs?
I am seeing 11,300 when I pin it and 11,100-11,200 as it climbs to 65-70 with a max speed of 75. At 75 the the RPM's drop to 11,000 w/ no over-rev.
I took the clutch weights out and took 2 grams off each of the tip rivets but haven't been able to test it. Curious where you guys are at so I can get it close. Thanks.

I have a road right beside my house that turns into a flat sheet of ice and i wind out my phazer on there i have seen 93-94 on the speedo. Iam not sure what it is actually thou. My rpms wind up to over 12000 when iam doing the speed run. Picked up a gps so i will get a more accurate measure this winter if we ever get enough snow.

By the dreammeter I did 92mph,11500 or so best run.90 average.River with about a inch of packed snow.About perfect conditions.I am running the Ulmer clutch kit with the long Yamaha rivets in the tips(I cant remember grams but do have part #)Stock 1mm shim in secondary and 600mi on belt.
Before the wieghts were added I was at 12,000rpm and 83mph average 88mph best run in same stretch of river.
Last year I got this belt and fought overreving since.Maybe you got a belt size that does opposite. Will check part # on mine.

The highest RPM I've seen no matter the condition is 11,500. Where you're getting the over-rev on top, I'm dropping off to 11,000!

I understand.Mine had opposite problem as yours. It happened when I bought a new belt.Had to reclutch because of the belt.

Go get your belt part # and I will do same.

Looks like I ended up with the one for the reverse update. No wonder I was over revving.Prav maybe Schmidt Bros setup is made for the newer belt #.

I talked to Chris at Schmidt about that... he actually warned me to stay away from that belt with my setup. I am going to test a bit tomorrow. Like I said.. I shaved 2 grams off of each tip rivet. I also marked both primary and secondary with a sharpie to check clutch shift. If I still don't get the RPM's it's back to the drawing board. Either take more weight out or possibly try an ultimax belt to see if my stocker belt is slipping.
Prav what are you running for secondary set up C2 seems to work pretty good for me. Also maybe your primary or secondary springs are getting tired.

Testing results from today:
I switched from the new belt (was the spare when I bought the sled with 1100 miles) to the old belt that had the original miles on it.
After the shaving the 2 grams from each weight the RPMs are much improved. Pin it and the R's jump to 11,800-11,900 and fall to roughly 11,660 everytime down. The over-rev is pretty quick as it doesn't sit at 11,660 for very long. The sled over-revs right back up to 11,900. This was consistent with both belts. The first belt today (new - spare belt outlined above with very low miles on it) saw these RPMs but neither clutch was shifting out all the way. Ref the pic below of the primary.. the secondary was looking about the same. The MPH was 78ish with this belt. When I put on the belt with 1100 miles on it... it was a bit better at first but seemed to warm up nice. The R's were the same with this belt but I was over-reving and pulling up to 84 on the speedo. I haven't pulled the belt to take a better look at the secondary but I can't find the mark on it at all now... so it must be shifting out. I'm still concerned with the primary though. It just looks to me like it's not shifting out.
Looking for some benchmark pics or tips here. Mark your primary and show me a pic of yours... or just take a pic and l can check out the wear mark and see how high your belts are riding.
thanks
