Tator.
I hear a lot of noise from the drive. I do hear the clutch,
Not so much from the chaincase, that seems fine, its the track/drivers/suspension. I can hear everything working under there. Lol
I read a post from some guy who has 2 vipers. He said i is loud 1 is quiet. Kinda strange.
Someone else posted that overtime his quieted down.
Like i said, only got 130 miles on it. Next weekend i hope to put on 2-300 more

I have 2800 miles on mine and it feels like a totally different sled than when new. Original belt and stock clutching. I trade in a 2012 Apex on it and would do it again in a minute

Did you think yours was a bit of a dog when new?
Did it pick up speed / performance after 4-500 miles?

Ya im a huge fan of the dupont slides. I have had real good luck with them on the apex.
They are on the list of things to do.
Do you have suggestions on cheap wheel kits?

Check out the Arctic Cat forum. They know how to set this chassis up to handle and make it run "freer". The belt will help a lot but you need to set up the chassis.

Funny , I currently ride a 06 Apex , and thought both the LTX and RtX Vipers I demo'd were quite snappy in the mid range. THe RTX had some interesting pushing characteristics in the corners but the motors were strong. Both were well past break in but stock.

Traded 2011 apex se for rtx got 4th wheel kit snowtrackers I've hot start problem once turned key off waited turned key let it cycle and go. 1300 miles top speed 100 mph . This sled feels lite is a blast to ride in the trails any conditions . Only thing I miss about the apex is the power. And it's the best looking sled on snow . Every time I go out someone is asking me about it and heads are turning hey at the gas station a young kid asked to sit on it and me take a picture of him with his cell. Love this sled will it hold up like my previous yamis only time will tell ??

I have some pictures of my set up with the wheels if you would like to see. With the extra wheels and the duponts it's a lot better, but sometimes I hear a little track noise. But way better now! And there is no sign of wear on the hyfax.

I also think i might be experiencing the hot start issue.
My dealer told me to turn the key. Wait for everything to finish cycling about 10 seconds then try to start it. If it does not immediately start, turn the key off and repeat the process.
I only have 1 ride on this sled and i start it the way the dealer described every time.
It seems sometimes (3times now) the sled misfires almost like its going to start then doesn't
All 3 times it failed to start, i shut it off and cycled the key/waited like my dealer described.
2 of the 3 times it started. 1 time i had to try like 4 key cycles and wait 5 mins to get it started?
i am finding that i am actually stressing out about shutting it off at gas stations and in front of crowds.
I didnt talk about this in my original post because a huge part of me wanted to believe it wasn't happening and i was not completely sure what the issue was till now.

Whos 4th wheel kit did you go with? Im looking at the larson but i am struggling with spending more money until i have some of these quirks resolved.

Yes absolutely i would like to see them!! Can you put them up in this post?
Tim yours was pretty loud in the track/suspension too before the wheels and hyfax?
