New to the Yamaha sled and trying to replace the 2 front bottom idler wheels on a 2005 Vector pro action skid. One wheel on each side of the shock. Does the suspension need to be pulled to get at these 2 wheels?

You don't need to pull the skid.
You can remove the front shock from the upper mount and then rotate the wheels up and forward to remove them.

Don't hesitate to pull the skid if you haven't had it out before. It's not a hard job and it allows you to go over it carefully.
I pull mine at least once a season to inspect all components.
