I'm sure these questions have been answered before, but after looking through 14 pages of threads and digging through FAQ's I still haven't come to a conclusion. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I jacked up the front end to take some pressure off the skis. I noticed that the bolt that holds the ski to the spindle was a little loose. I removed the bolt to find that there wasn't much left of the washers on each side of the ski. It doesn't look like new washers would fix much because there was ALOT of side to side room. The spacers didn't look worn, but maybe i'm wrong. Does anyone have a pic of a stock ski in a spindle? I don't know how thick those washers were new. Also my lower ball joint on the other side is shot. With the front end up i can grab the skis and move them in and out over an inch. I found the lower ball joint kit at ulmer racing. Is this all I need? It says to use the original "ball". Hopefully my upper a arm bolt is just a little lose and i don't have to replace the bushings yet. Is there something I should try before replacing? Thanks for any help.

There is some bushings inside of the spindle that are shot two for each spindle get them from your dealer.
As for the ball joint kit that ulmer has only buy if you are really mechanically inclined and have access to use a press and a dremel

A vise and sockets will do the trick too, not as nice as a press but will do the job

I get that the bushings might be shot. but the ski moves sideways. It actually slides back and forth on the bolt even with it tightened?

Even with the new washers?...if so then I would say yes you need new collars as well.
