was out for a ride tonight and those pesky tunnel protectors seem to have gotten the better of me, a large chunk of ice broke off and punctured the front heat exchanger. i was wondering how big of a job it is to change it. I am mechanically inclined, so doing the work is no problem, i am just looking for an idea of how much is involved in the process and if there are any tips and tricks that can be shared.
any insight would be greatley appreciated.

its one of the first things to build the sled, 90% of the stuff needs to come outta the way to do its, not super hard if you have done one before.

Replacing the heat exchanger!!!
You will definitely lean about how your sled is put together. Having a warm workshop and a way to lift the sled will make it easier. You'll be taking apart the front half of the sled almost completely. The book says you need to pull the engine. I didn't remove the engine, but you need to remove at least one of the bulkheads, or spread them apart, to get the old heat exchanger out and the new one in. By the way, get yourself a manual to help you along, and use factory rivets they are a lot stronger.
