I have the floats and would like to soften the ride but don't like loosing the height would standard nytro shocks be better or are there other down sides

They are softer than your floats!
We NEED a shock in between the two!
I will be rebuiling a set of MTX shocks and putting compression adjustable resivours on them next week! Hopefully thatwil be the ticket until the Ohlins come in.....

A cheap way to slightly soften up the ride... a larger volume slows the ramp up of pressure.

Penske is coming out with air shocks they offered to set the RTX up for me but I was to tired to wait. Whatever they put in from stock I ran and it wasnt overly stiff at all. They can take big hits and do just fine. A little less pressure may help out with ski lift though but there are other thing contributing to that. I have never rode a rider forward sled that cornered like a conventional chasis. Im going to try with this one but if I cant get it right ill have someone else set it up for me

We sell an add-on air resevoir. See link to our website in my signature below for details.
I personally run these on my '06 Nytro and have had great results.
