Front Skid Shock Relocation Mod

yup, i'll use a jack to test it all out. And maybe if i go with an air shock i will take the air out and measure the travel. I suppose i could do the same with a coil over.

It's funny i saw the email notification as soon as i found my answer. DOHH I will be doing this mod as well as the 160 or 180 spring, im a bigger guy so maybe the 180 will be the right rate for me.

Looking for a new center shock as the stock coilover is bent slightly, are the air shocks and tougher then the colis?

I have air shock in front track shock and it gets alot of trail trash thrown at it. Mine is all nicked up from stuff hitting it. I just ordered and received the zero pro to replace it from newer sled.($82.00 brand new no spring)

The front track shocks from 2012 to 2015 are shorter and from 2016 up longer(at least on arctic cat). I put the 2016 float style in my 2015 be relocating holes back. It lays shock down for less progressive ramp up.

Front track shock 2015 is 11 1/4..... front track shock 2016 is 12 1/2. Its a 1 1/4 difference. If you put longer shock in old location you will run out of shaft travel before skid bottoms out on rubber bumpers on rails.

Unfortunately we sometimes we have to ride some gravel to get to the snow and I found that my front shock was getting nicked up as well. I ended up making a bellows boot out of an old steering rack bellows. Fortunately there is just enough clearance for a narrow band clamp before the suspension bottoms out. It works well and is saving my shock!
