Hi,
06 Vector GT Question..
Anyone level the front arms with the ground by fully loosing the springs and then giving the nut a couple of turns.
Does the sled handle better and is it a problem if the spring seat length is lower than 4.7" mentioned in the manual.
I read this many times but I think it was on an Apex or Attak and am not sure if it applies to a Vector GT.
Thanks

Yes I backed my 05 fronts off all the way and then just put alittle tension on. I weigh 185, the ride was much better and the handling is very good botoms the front easier in the super nasty stuff but I avoid those trails so it works for me. If you have the GYT clickers back the compresion all the way off and then slowly increase till you like it
Thanks for the reply.
I'll start of the season next year with those settings.

I just purchased a set of GYTR front shocks. No instructions came with them. What would be a good starting point for the top clicker adjustment and also for the bottom rebound clicker. I weigh 220 lbs. This is for an 05 RS Vector ER that I have owned since July of 04. I replaced the rear shocks with OEM as I have been very satisfied with those. I did a search but found nothing relative to my above questions.

I am looking for similar info on where to set my springs?
This may be of some help?

I weight about the same on my 06 GT. I would probably start with the factory settings. According to my manual, the bottom is set at 10 clicks. It states that the furthest position to the right is actually 3 and not 0.
The top 8 clicks standard with the furthest stop to the right is 2.
This does make a difference as I played with mine all last year. Problem is sometimes I got it set great while other times it was terrible. I'm going to start all over this year and will write down all my adjustments.
Hope this helps.

I know a bunch of guys on here have backed off on the springs untill their front a-arms are level. I backed off my Rage GT springs to the minimum settings listed in the owners manual. I had to play with my clicker shocks to stiffen up the front end. G.B.

I tried lowering my front end, so the arms were level, and it pushed through the corners horribly; Even with the front shock spring all the way loose. So, I put it back where it was. My sled rides high, and a little rough; but it takes the rough stuff well, and corners when I want; though I have to lean more. I also run 96 studs down the middle and 6" carbides.

Are you not running Fox Floats?
My bud did what you did with his Fox Floats(let air out until the front end sat leverl) and absolutely loved it, said it made a huge difference with handling.

I am running the Fox Floats. It just didn't seem as planted, with everything soft. I can handle inside ski lift, since I've learned to predict it; but pushing really bothers me.
