Hi all. I am attempting to adjust the front suspension on my father's 2004 RX1. On the right side eveything came loose just fine. I adjusted it to full loose, then tightened it 2 turns. The left side however is not moving. I moved the lower nut that actually hold the tension on the spring, but the top nut that locks that in place will not budge.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tyrel

BFH and a heavy duty punch does it for me.
Well I tried just about everything I could think of. Looks like someone at one point tried to adjust the suspension on this sled and the threads got screwed up. I tightened the bad side up and matched the good side to it for now. Guess this will give me an excuse to upgrade the front shocks this summer.
So onto the next question! What are some good upgrades for front shocks? Do Apex units fit? Should I look for some Fox Floats?
Thanks again,
Tyrel

Take the weight off of the stuck side so the ski hangs in the air. These aluminum shock tubes can gall. Back the collar up to where you started and take an old toothbrush (no, not your wife's) and clean the junk from the threads. Then try it again.
