Was out for a little rip tonight and decided to stop in at a buddy's house to "rehydrate" with a couple beverages. It's quite cold tonight, but not insane cold at all. My thermometer reads -30 not counting the wind chill. After about an hour I went to start my machine and no go!
Same old story we have heard a lot of this year code 43. My buddy grabbed a heat gun and I warmed up the relay and it started no problem.
But it is not the same old story because I have installed the updated orange relay!!
I have not had that problem before but I changed the relay so I never would, and now this happened.
I hope this is just a one time thing.

What happended that it wouldn't start? Did you have code 43 or was your display dead. No power anywhere or just the fuel pump relay?

Ya, by a little rip I mean a high speed crazy ride.
I guess it does sound like a drink fest.

Yep, I got a code43. The battery had lots of power, no other issues with the sled. Only took about 1 min of applying heat for it to start.

That is kind of odd then. Keep us updated if it haapens again. I haven't changed mine out but lots of others here have. Shouldn't be the relay but who knows. Maybe you ended up with a bad one. Who knows.

It happened again today! It was only about -22 outside, and it was parked in an unheated shed. I had to heat the relay to get it started again.
I think tomorrow I'm going to get another "new"relay to see if that solves it.
I totally hate the feeling of my sled being unreliable.

I just ordered the new solid state relays, they shouldnt have any problems, no moving parts.

that's what I have in the machine is the new solid state relay. That's the confusing part of it all.

isn't the fuel pump relay the third one in from the front of the sled? the second one is different and I believe that's the one for the headlights
