2005 Yamaha RS Vector... I Had to blow into the fuel tank vent tube to solve starting issue after summer storage. Now fuel gauge doesn't work. Is this common? Will it resolve itself? Thanks.

My gauge failed on my 06 vector. I was able to fix it by pushing a little washer back on a shaft on the gauge assembly, so the sending unit could make contact again. Fairly simple to pull unit out of tank...I fixed it at a bar on a ride.
