Not sure but my pump will pump a lot of gas , like 4 gallons in a minute or so. I know because I pumped all the fuel out of my tank and filled up my intercooler one time. OUCH Pressure reg is set at 4 for my elevation.

I would like to know about pressure settings as well. Is there a chart or is it trial and error for elevation and different turbo kits? I have figured out that the fuel pressure is a problem, but dont know where it is supposed to be set. Did you guys install a gauge for this or just a temporary gauge installed in the lines to set it?

I am running 2lbs at an idle with cpr turbo at 10,000 ft. I just set it and checked to make sure pressure was biulding with boost and took gauge off have not had any problems seems to work good.

My pump pumps directly to the regulator and then 2 lines to the carbs. I am told it is set at 4#'s but I have not checked it. If you want to empty the gas tank in a hurry just disconnect the return line from the tank and put it in a gas can and it only takes about 2 minutes. Turn the key to the on position and don't start the engine.

I have seen where some guys on here are running up to 8 lbs of fuel pressure. Would this be for low altitude? I am running a bender kit at 9k-12k,

Hi Tuco,

Not sure about your altitude but here in the midwest about 1000 feet we are running 4 lbs. The regulator is set to 4 lbs so each one of the carb lines will read 4 lbs if you check it with a gauge. What is your fuel problem? I had a sticky needle that I first thought was too much fuel pressure because I would fill the intercooler with gas whenever the needle would stick. Good luck.

I am running 117.5 mains and still running rich at 10500ft +. I was having a big problem with it at altitude so on sunday fuel pressure popped into my head, so I turned the regulator adjustment in about a turn and it helped some so I ended up going about 3 turns total before it ran decent. It is still rich at high altitude but the biggest pitot jet I had was a 430. I have some bigger now I dont know what size they are I just drilled a couple out I think one was 3/32 and the other was 7/64.

I checked the pressure today it was at about 7.8 lbs after I screwed with it on the hill and got it running better. I turned it back out to see what the pressure was at before I screwed with it, when it was running like crap. It was at about 6.5 lbs. Now call me strange but how the hell does it run richer with less fuel pressure? I know you guys are gonna say I am too lean but this sled rips #*$&@ at the parking lot at about 9k-9.5k but when I get up higher it runs like crap and that is how I am coming to the conclusion of it being rich. That and I have tried about every main jet from 130 to 117.5. I called Bender and MPI to see what they had to say. Bender said turn the pressure down to 5.5 lbs and run a bigger main and pitot jet. I just dont understand what is going on. Help would be appreciated. Thanks
