Msd fuel pump

My msd pump locked up today and I had to go buy a new pump today but now when high boost comes on engine back fires and cuts out. Just wondering if pump I bought today is insufficient? Msd pump is rated for 43 gph at 40 P.S.I. and the pump I replaced it with is 45 to 65 P.S.I. at 35 gph. Just wondering if pump is not enough or I have another problem?

I ran into the same problem this year when I changed a pump - dont believe all the specs - use what you know works. I went from a walbro to a hyper tech - would go lean as soon as boost came in and fall off - bought another walbro and all fixed.

I have a new, unused walbro fuel pump from a bender turbo vector kit available.
