I was finding something new to obsess over. Which relay causes the code 43 failure fuel pump or fuel injection system. I have the updated red relay on the fuel pump in the tank but the regular relay for the fuel injection system. Should I change the fuel injection system relay as well?

I also changed to the red relay on my 2012 Vector. Never had a problem with other relays.

I changed the other relays with the updated one just for peace of mind. Haven't had a problem since. I also updated my battery to a 320cca as well.

But which relay are you replacing? My fuel pump (in tank) has a red relay. But, the fuel injection pump is black.

On my fault code list 43 is for ECU

On the Apex, Yamaha changed the outside relay in 2014 and up. I changed the outside one on my 2013 to the red relay first year so far no problems at 10.000 miles, I believe that is for the fuel pump which has the biggest draw. Not sure about your code fault 43, but you could swap around relays to see if code goes away and listen for the fuel pump.

I don't currently have a code, I thought the 43 code was the symptom of failure. Perhaps I miss read. I have the upgraded red one on the fuel pump. I am thinking about changing all of them just to be safe.

43 will also be triggered when relay freezes so that definitely could be issue.
