Fuel pump upgrade

I'm worried the fuel delivery system is not adequate for the power we are planning to run. Various dyno tests have shown the the flow gets too low when boost goes up. One thing to remember is the flow in LPH goes down as fuel pressure goes up. So if the stock pressure is 43 PSI stock it will go to 60 with a 17 PSI tune. The stock pump is built by TI automotive which owns Walbro. I can't find any info on it but it's pretty small. If you look at the various Walbro 255 pumps they build standard or high pressure. Basically the standard pressure are probably close to what ours is as the stock sled is only running 10 PSI and it has adequate flow for that power level and fuel pressure. The high pressure series are used in Turbo or SC applications where high flow is required with high fuel pressure. I chose the Walbro GSS 342 which is a 255 LPH pump that flows 50%+ more fuel at 60 PSI than a standard pump. The really nice thing is the stock fuel pump sock fits right on. From what I am told this pump is used in tuned up Buick Grand Nationals. Once I run this I may put together a kit so it's easy for anyone to do. Now one big thing I learned in my research is the amp draw of various pumps. AEM and Aeromotive make 340 LPH versions of this pump that flow more. Probably more than we need. That being said they also double the required amp draw which I am not sure the stock wiring is capable of handling, it's really small. While you may not fry the wires you may burn up the pump early.

No idea but if so it’s 1/3 the cost. And I will say both Hurricane and TD do offer one. Ironically I started this project on FB and after choosing the way I wanted to go I was shown a pic of the Hurricane pump. It crosses to this but is claimed to be a 340 LPH by the mfg. of the pump. I wanted to stay with genuine Walbro. If this pump can feed a 500 HP 3.8L V6 Buick turbo it should be fine for me.
