Is the fuel pump on the 4 strokes electric? Reason I am wondering is I found a tip on another forum for priming the fuel pump when you run out of gas. (I realize this for a motorcyle, but thought it could be adaptive for a sled) I was thinking this would work for us to prime our sleds in the fall for that first start up (if you dont start them periodically thru the summer). If in fact ours are elec pumps, here is the link (guess it will be a copy N paste). This may have already been put out here somewhere, but thought I would share if its not.

Not needed on Yamaha Sleds with electric fuel pumps as they come on with the key and fill the fuel rail before the engine cranks. The carbed 4 strokes do not have an electric fuel pump so there is a trick that LB shared with us back in 03 or 04 that works very well to prime the carbs.
