Fuel tank size

The fuel will come out if you remove the insert , when it warms up ,
best to fill and go , works great.
Or raise the vent line !

All nitro , apex 's !

We told Yamaha 7.4 was too small in 08 for effective range & needed 136"track. XTX with 144 even better but fell short on gas tank. I would buy tank bags for sure but what a pain in the a$$ over just having a larger tank. I just got away from 2s refuel at 90 miles & won't go back to such a short range. Should be at least 9.5 US gallon tank.

NYTRO XTX [130 HP] $10,599 US
10 GAL ADD ON TANK $325
LABOR ADDING TANK $150
TOTAL $11,074

APEX LTX [150 HP] $10,999

??? :drink: ???

anyone tried these and do you like or not?

I have them, about 1300 miles on an off trail with no problems. I forget they are there untill I drag with somebody which I don't do very often. The price was right so I jumped at them and have no regrets.

what did you have to give for them?
what's your system...keep them filled as a backup hardly using them?
what do you think handling wise compared to the larger tank...as in 3 gal of fuel is about 20 lbs either 20 more in the trail tank or the 20 at the rear of the sled lower?

They wanted over 200 Canadian MSRP and I think I paid 160 tax in which was a great deal IMO, a trail tank would have been around 4 or 5 hundred Canadian at the time with exchange and shipping. I usually keep them filled for a week or two (Bad gas sucks!!!)if I'm not on a long trip and to tell you the truth I never noticed much of a difference with or without gas. I'm a heavy guy (300 with gear) so I bought the Hygear torsion spring spacers which help a lot with the rear end sag. My best range last winter was 116 miles using Turks trick on a cold day with out using the extra fuel in the caddies. (I wanted to check the stock range) They are also nice to have if you run a genarator at your camp or come upon somebody who has run out of gas.
