I went to put my tank on last night, go it on with no problem, but when I started the sled, my fuel gauge started flashing with the yellow light on....(before someone makes a smart #*$&@ comment, yes there's fuel in the tank!) but my fuel gauge is flashing full...I tried looked up a breakdown of a stock fuel tank and it shows the fuel meter sender unit on the front right corner of the tank. I think on the trail tank it's on the face and at the back of tank.
the tank has been off for a month or so. Could i have a bad connection? or bad sensor? it was fine when i put it away last year
Thanks

Did you plug the green plug in on the side of the tank by the reverse lever. I just put my stock tank back on after installing my exhaust after welding on the O2 sensor bung and mine did the same thing. Then I realized I forgot to reconnect that green plug which is the fuel level sensor.

It would be on the left side of the sled right at the frame - brake and battery side. It's sort of pain to get to.

is that for a stock tank or trail tank? or are they the same?
It is the stock level sensor plug on the right side of the sled, wedged between the aluminum frame and the tank. My guess is it's not fully seated, or you forgot to connect it, or the wires are pinched/broken.
