I have read several posts that state you will not get full shift out from your clutch if you do not gear down. I pulled my clutch apart today and pushed the primary all the way in till it bottomed against the fixed face and laid my drive belt in the clutch. The belt sat down from the top about a 1/4" and that is where the belt mark on the sheaved stopped also. That tells me it is shifing all the way out. I pulled the secondary all the way out until it bottomed and laid the belt in the secondary and the belt laid right where the wear marks stopped. The only thing I could see doing to get the belt to shift out any further would be to machine the clutch halves. This is a Vector with stock clutching. The best I have seen on the speedo is 110mph at 8600 rpm. The ques
tion is, am I getting full shift out from my stock clutch and gearing or am I missing something?

No your not missing anything and yes you are getting all your stock clutchs have in them. Now there is more, machine your helis and put on the hach speed sheve than if you gear doen one tooth you will be where you were but have a little more on both ends, take off and top end if you get you clutching dialed in.
