I have an 07 Apex RTX that I piicked up as a left over. It only has about 450 miles on it. I was trying to get a full shift out of it last weekend. It didn't seem to want to pull one. I was in 4-6 inches of frozen granular snow over hardpack snow and ice. I run a Dayco Ulta-Max 3 ( so it does'nt slip/ less heat) also 144 1.450 studs in the middle. It feels strong and does'nt fall off, it just does'nt pull the 10200-10500 RPM. Only 9800-10000 RPM. Do I need more break-in time or something else?

You need another 1000 mile at least on it till it starts to lossen up a little. Break it in first.

That belt will pull the RPM's down a couple hundred at least.
Thanks for the replies. I thought the belt might pull the RPMs down a bit. I'll break her in and see where she goes from there. I beleive a few hundred RPMs are worth the lack of heat build up do to the hard stock belt. It also grabs alot better.
