I was looking at hygear recomendartions for the 08 fx nytro handling and saw in the pictures it looked like they cut the inner A arm mounts and welded on heims. I was wondering if anyone knew the specs on the castor camber as the page doesn't have any information on this. In the pictures you can clearly see the heims.

It's definitely a killer idea! I wonder how long they would last. I thought he stated in that report that he might have something for the A-arms soon. The adjustability would be crazy!! It sure does get the wheels turnin'.............

I am thinking of giving him a call to see if there is any updates. I bet he used heims for a prototype so that he could find what angle works best. Once the angle is perfected i'm sure he'll move it to something more permanent.

The heim adjustment is similar to cutting the balljoint or shimming it.

I called Ross at Hygear and asked about it a few days ago.
Maybe there is something more to this.
And trying to read between the lines on what he told me vs. the cost to make an arm kit work.
He said that they didn't find enough of an improvment with this adjustable upper A-arm system to consider working on an A-arm kit for the masses.
But rather Hygear found that reworking the shock valving and other spring kits etc. fixed the handling problem so much that...
There is no need to offer an A-arm kit.
That was a few days ago...
Maybe the story will change?
But the advise given to me was a better ski and true shock upgrades will turn this 08 into a real contender.
This may be a decision on Hygear's part to not stray too far from the business model they have set up to be profitable.
And leave the complicated A-arm issue to other aftermarket MFGs.
In the end I do very much believe Hygear is onto something.
Proper shock set up and upgrades most likely will fix this sled to be better than the 09 stuff coming from Yamaha.
Now then...
Get the shock upgrades for the 09 and then you'll have a real Rev-XP killer.
