Had a great time at a great event this weekend in Enfield NH. Rock The Hills put on a great show.
There was a great turnout but I was the only Yamaha Four Stroke and dominated the 600 and 700 stock classes in the timed runs, and first and second in the 600 and 700 stock classes respectively. I will post a link to the results when they are posted but if I remember correctly I had first place by half a second in an eight second race. They ended up bringing me back down for tech again to make sure I didn't have any engine modifications. If I had run the 800 stock class I would've placed third I believe although first place in the 800 stock class had a commanding lead by an 800etec. That was one fast sled.
This was my first time racing and i definitely learned a few things. Number one, picks are necessary. I was getting killed off the line and playing catch up the rest of the course. Number two, lane choice in head to head is very important. I lost 700 stock head to head to an F7 which was a really quick sled but I was reeling him in before nearly going over backwards on the last roll up the hill.
Overall it was a great first experience with a bunch of nice guys and girls and a well put together race organizer. I would highly recommend it to anyone here. They do regular races all over New England and as a first timer and sled brand outsider they made me feel right at home.
As soon as they post the pics of the races Ill be sure to link them up. There should be some pretty spectacular shots

Don't think I'll make it to Dartmouth. Its a long ride from the Mid Coast of Maine and a lot of diesel to get there.
Have you ever raced with Rock the Hills before?
I was under the impression they had never even seen a Yamaha Four Stroke there because they had no idea how to tech it or how to class it.

If you race your sled in the 600 class you will absolutely destroy it
been to few events this year and last. scan the results for ewaschuk/yamaha, i'm usually the only yamaha/nytro. class depends on who's there when you register. this year they put me in 700 stock, 700 open and 600 factory race (only after much discussion). and if you didn't notice most of the 2 smokes in stock are far from it, but since there is not tech why not...
